We started our Gaudi tour with Casa Mila (La Pedrera), which was fantastic. Just a view of the exterior was exciting--the doors, balconies, hexagonal stonework/tiles on the sidewalk outside....The interior museum with its awesome Gaudi chairs and construction models, as well as the wild windows and interior courtyard views gave us a good glimpse of his plan. But the roof is the showcase here--complete with twisting chimneys, panoramic views, and too-high drops with too-low walls that made me more than a little twitchy. Fortunately, our entire party of 8 managed to leave by the stairs which had its own pleasing curling banisters. We expanded our Gaudi tour in our 2nd week of Barcelona but this was a great introduction
